Dance classes at Fusion Dance Center, Medford dance studio, are taught and managed by our Founding Directors, Craig Amaral and Kimberly Awbrey. Both are from the San Francisco Bay area and each nurtured professional dance careers extending back to their youths. They understand your passion, because they live the same passion for dance. Together their instructional experience spans almost 30 years.

Craig Amaral – Award- winning performer and choreographer with over 18 years experience working in the entertainment arts. Television credits include Midnight Caller, NBC Prime Time Movie of the Week, The Long Road Home, The Doors, Angels in the Outfield. He's been featured in commercials for Toyota, Dannon Yogurt, AT&T, UPS, American Express, Sega, Sprint, MCI, and The Gap. Craig Amaral has trained under Master Teachers including Dan Karaty, Gregg Russell, and Sam Webber. During his professional dance career, Craig has opened for groups as diverse as the L.A.-based hip hop acts, Major League and Papa Roach.

Craig has earned many choreography awards and a position as a production company choreographer for a highly successful Bay Area dance studio. In his ten years as a dance teacher, he has taught master dance classes in both tap and hip hop throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Many of Craig’s students have gone on to dance with mainstream artists such as Outkast and the Black Eyed Peas. He is often called upon to judge dance competitions.

Kimberly Awbrey – A teacher and choreographer for nineteen years, Kimberly has won numerous national and regional choreography awards. Professionally, Kimberly has choreographed for dancers for the San Francisco 49er Gold Rush, Golden State Warrior Girls, and the San Jose Saber Kittens. She ran the dance program for the Los Gatos Swim and Racquet Club, and taught and choreographed performances for Mitty High School and Harker Academy in San Jose, CA. Kimberly Awbrey’s students have won many awards, titles, and scholarships to conventions, theater arts programs and schools, most notably The Julliard School in New York City.

Kimberly has been dancing since the age of five. She trained at the San Francisco School of Ballet in addition to other Bay Area dance studios. She has been a guest judge for numerous regional dance competitions in the Bay Area.
