Group and Private Lessons in our Medford dance studio

Select your Fusion Dance Center classes from the schedule below. Group dance instruction is offered which provides the benefit of interaction with other peers in a creative atmosphere. Private dance instruction can also be scheduled which provide intense, personalized attention enabling the student to focus on mastering footwork, styling and technique. Our students also participate in an annual dance recital and other community events. Brief descriptions of these style classes follow.

Our faculty will be able to help you determine the best classes for you based on class availability, age and /or experience.

Class Observations/Make-ups/Refunds:

Observers and parents may watch classes any time through our viewing windows as long as this does not disrupt the students or teachers. Due to limited class sizes, there are no make-up classes or refunds. Classes are based on a first come, first serve basis. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for misconduct or lasped payment.

Dance Class Styles

  • Ballet is the foundation of all dance; basis for technique, strength, posture and body alignment; consisting of barre work, jumps, slow control and deliberate movements. Youth-thru-adult classes.
  • Break dance is an energetic style of street dance involving elaborate footwork, rapid acrobatic movements, and pantomiming; usually containing much improvization.
  • Creative Dance is an exploration of tap, ballet, tumbling and group work for ages 3 to 4 year-olds.
  • Hip Hop links intricate movements to hip hop beats/lyrics. This style includes popping, freezing, freestyle and is often fast paced and fierce. Classes for youths and teens.
  • Introduction to Dance combines tap/jazz/ballet for 5-6 year olds.
  • Jazz Dancing delights in high-energy movements combining techniques of ballet, lyrical and hip hop with kicks, leaps and turns. Youth through adult classes.
  • Lyrical is an adaptation of ballet, modern and jazz expressing feeling with a focus on body lines.
  • Pointe’ is based on the principles of classical ballet with emphasis on basic Pointe’ technique, barre and performance styles. This class is for advanced students only and requires instructor approval.
  • Tap creates rhythmic sounds with your feet; similar to drum and musical instrument sounds; ranging in difficulty from shuffles and flaps to tricks and wings. Youth through adult classes.
  • Tumbling floor gymnastics similar to somersault, back handsprings, and roundoffs.
  • Tap/Jazz combines basic tap and jazz steps for 6 to 8 year-olds.
